Illustration and Surface Design

Conceptual illustration and pattern design for books, textiles, and applied surfaces. Storytelling is at the heart of my work. Each piece is created with narrative, intention, and care.

Illustration book

Bear and Shark, 2025

A gentle tale about standing out, friendship, and letting go with love
In a world where Bear feels different and alone, she finds an unexpected friend, a little lost shark...

A self-authored and illustrated 30-page children's book exploring themes of relationship dynamics, psychology and cultural identity. The project combines narrative and image to create a gentle yet reflective visual story suitable for children.

The Lonely and the Mermaid, 2022-2023

The Lonely and the Mermaid began as an exploration of two contrasting characters being from completely different worlds whose paths unexpectedly cross. The project started as a visual and narrative study of connection, difference, and belonging, expressed through a series of original illustrations.

Over time, this concept evolved into a more developed story, which I rewrote and reimagined with a new collection of illustrations. This transformation led to the creation of my children's book, Bear and Shark which is a continuation of the same emotional themes and dynamic though a fresh lens and a new set of characters.

Textile Design

Lilies, 2020

This project explores the delicate and graceful details of lilies, translating their natural elegance into textile design. Each scarf began as a gouache painting, capturing the organic forms of the flowers. Then, digitally scanned and printed onto luxurious silk satin fabric, preserving the painterly quality of the original brushstrokes.

Each piece originally measures 50 x 50 cm, offering a balance between art and wearable design, a fusion of traditional hand-painted techniques with modern digital processes.

Textile Design

Wearable Persian rugs, 2024-2025

In this project, I explored elements from Persian rugs through Pattern making and surface design.

This practice extends into textiles through screen printing, with selected motifs applied to garments as wearable expressions of the visual language.

The work extends onto skin as a considered surface, framing tattooing as wearable design.
Each piece is executed as permanent body art through licensed, professional practice.
